Central Backpackers Hostel II is located in the centre of the Old Quarter. All major tourist attractions are a short walking distance away. We are a 3 min walk from hoan kiem lake. We have many bars and restaurants that are in close proximity to us.
The amazing things about this hostel are first and foremost the awesome people you meet, who will be sharing their travelling experiences from all around the world in the communal area over 1 or 10 beers at happy hour!
Secondly the brilliant and friendly staff that will go out of their way to ensure your experience is the very best you can have whilst in Hanoi.

• From the Bus and Train station (1.5km from Hanoi Train Station):
• When you arrive in Ha Noi get a taxi to Central Backpackers Hostel II at 11 Hang Manh, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi. Ask the taxi driver to take you to St Joseph's Cathedral on the corner of Nha Tho St and Ly Quoc Su St. Then walk up Ly Quoc Su St towards Hang Bong and go straight across the crossroads onto Hang Manh. We are on the right hand side of the road. Remember only take taxis that have the name Mai Linh taxi or Group Taxi and ask for the price before you get in the taxi.
• From the airport: (Hanoi International Airport is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from the centre of Hanoi.)
• If you are arriving at Hanoi International Airport, we highly recommend booking your airport pick- up through us. There have been numerous reports of taxi drivers taking customers to another hostel that pays them commission, either claiming your hostel is full, has moved location, or has been knocked down by an act of God. The best way to guarantee a hassle-free transfer is to book through us for $15. Or you can take the shuttle bus ($3/person) from the airport to the bus stop on 1 Quang Trung st. The hostel is just 500 metres north of the shuttle stop.
• If you are facing the St Joseph’s Cathedral from the front of the square, Ly Quoc Su St will be the street on your right. Go up Ly Quoc Su St to the crossroads of Hang Bong, go straight across onto Hang Manh for 100 metres and we are on the right hand-side at 11 Hang Manh. Look for the BLUE SIGN!
• From Central Backpackers Hostel II to Central Backpackers Hostel (Original): approximately 1 mins.
• Walk out of Central Backpackers Hostel II and turn left up Hang Manh. Carry onwards up the road until you reach the Hang Bong crossroads, go straight across onto Ly Quoc Su St for 100 metres and the Central Backpackers Hostel (Original) is on the right hand-side at 16 Ly Quoc Su St. Look out for the SHARK!
