The Greenmont Farms is a beautifully converted barn, which is available for short or long term stays. It host a huge open plan living area which can also be used for workshops, small conferences or meetings. The barn is also accessible for wheel chair users.
We are located 23 miles North East of Burlington, Vermont. The village is called Underhill and is equipped with shops for provisions and gasoline, and local produce can be purchased here. The nearest supermarkets are in Essex, Vermont.
The area surrounding the farm consists of a small scale farm specializing in strawberries, arable grazing pasture, woods, and fields fill the valley created by hills on all sides. The Browns River flows through this place on its way to the Lamoille River which eventually pours into Lake Champlain.
Within a five mile radius of the farm are located many local walking, biking, and ski trails. The Green Mountain Club's Mount Mansfield hiking system is three miles away. Underhill Center is at the base of Mount Mansfield. This small village is within Pleasant Valley, known for its unspoiled beauty. Many recreational activities are possible here, canoeing, hiking, cycling, swimming, skiing and fishing to name a few. Pleasant Valley is also a popular landscape for artists to paint.
The fields and woods surrounding Greenmont Farms are ideally suited for outdoor educational programs, wilderness training workshops, environmental classes, and all the teaching that rural Vermont has to offer. Greenmont Farms is open all year long and is open to group reservations.
The calmness and serenity of this area is suitable for meetings and retreats of an artistic or healing nature.
