• Castelfiorentino, the village where Albergo La Pieve is situated, has its own train station (700 m from the hotel). The station is on the train line between Florence and Siena.
• From Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci): take the shuttle bus from the airport to the city center. It will drop you off at the central train station in Florence (Firenze SMN [ Firenze Santa Maria Novella]). From here you take the train in direction of Siena, which stops at Castelfiorentino. The train leaves once an hour and the journey time is approx. 40 minutes.
• From the train station in Castelfiorentino you can either reach the hotel by walking (see below) or catch a taxi. As we are located in the panoramic part of Castelfiorentino, the walk to the hotel is quite uphill.
• From Pisa Airport (Gallileo Gallilei): take the train directly from the airport to the center of Pisa (Pisa Centrale [Pisa C.le]). Here you change train and go to Empoli (direction: Florence). In Empoli you change again and go to Castelfiorentino (direction: Siena). The total journey time is approx 1:15 hour.
• As said above the walk from the train station in Castelfiorentino to the hotel is only 700 m, but quite uphill, so you can either decide for the exercise (see below) or to take a taxi.
• From Castelfiorentino Train Station by foot: exit the station and proceed right ahead, and you'll get to the city square, Piazza Gramsci. Go down the main shopping street on the right, Corso Giacomo Matteotti. Turn left onto the first street, Via Ferruccio. Continue up Via Ferruccio till it ends at Piazza del Popolo, where you have a church in front of you. Go left around the church and continue upwards taking Via Sant'Ippolito. At the end of this small street turn left onto Via Attavanti. At the end of this street turn left again onto Via Bruno. At the first crossing ahead of you, you can see Albergo La Pieve on your right side!
