Jackson Hole is the gateway town to the Grand Tetons National Park and also to Yellowstone National Park and is full of things to see and do, especially if you love the outdoors. If you're looking for a hostel in Teton Village, this is as close as you can get. Jackson Hole is the closest city with a hostel, at about 45 minutes drive from Teton Village.

The town of Jackson itself it very quaint and has quite a charm to it. You can walk around and visit the tourist shops, visit one of the charismatic bars, or just stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere. Within the town itself you can visit such attractions as the National Museum of Wildlife Art or the National Elk Refuge to become familiar with the natural wildlife in the area.

In the summer months, you can go rafting down the rapids of the Snake River, hiking in and around the Grand Tetons National Park, or horseback riding; if you feel like venturing a bit further, Yellowstone National Park is also within distance. If you are visiting here in the winter months, there are several ski resorts that you can visit to try your hand at some skiing or snowboarding. Dog sledding is another activity available within the area.

There used to be more hostels in Jackson Hole than there are today. It is best to research the location of your hostel before booking especially if you don't have a car. Getting around the area to all of the activities and attractions will require a car so it is best if you travel around this area with one.
