Salt Lake City Auberge de Jeunesses    "A hostel to stay at when the other ones are all full or when you're looking for the cheapest option. It's located about a mile from the temple in the center of town. It's close to some fast food restaurants along W North Temple and it's several blocks from an area with a lot of clubs, but otherwise the location isn't ideal since it's in a mostly industrial area. The only good things about the location are that it's close to the interstate and the airport. It's also located along the...  "I liked being able to check myself in and there are lots and lots of signs all over the place to let you know whats up. The place was clean, cute, and convenient. The A/C worked -- it was nice and cool and my room had a ceiling fan. There wasn't much of a place to hang out and relax -- you have to watch TV which is placed up high while sitting on uncomfortable little wood bar stools. The room was a little small to hang out in. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend... "A tiny little hostel located about a mile south of the temple (in the center of downtown). It's located in a mostly residential area close to the ballpark and several blocks from a light rail stop for easy access to downtown and other parts of the city.
It has two small TV/sitting areas with cable TV. There's a full kitchen (but with no oven) and a small dining table. There are just three dorm rooms and two private rooms, with up to four people in each dorm room. The bunks are... "A big hostel located in a nice residential neighborhood about half a mile from the temple in the center of town. There is bus service not far from the hostel, but buses aren't frequent so it may be quicker to walk to downtown from the hostel.
Inside it's a bit of a maze of hallways and rooms. There are two kitchens, at least two TV/sitting areas, and more than a few bathrooms. The main sitting area has some couches and a large selection of movies on tape. There's a small computer area...
