"Great cave hostel - There are a bunch of cave hostels / hotels in Goreme and really they all look pretty similar as far as I can tell. A few things make this one a little better than the rest. The biggest one is the awesome hostel owner. He's friendly, fun, and has good advice. All of the accommodations in Goreme are within walking distance of the bus station, but Yasin's is possibly the closest and easiest to find. The bathrooms, rooms, and showers are all nice. "Best Hostel Staff I've ever dealt with! - I honestly can't sing enough praise for the Star Cave hostel or Ramazan and his fathery (the managers). We had so much fun here that we extended our stay in Goreme from two nights to a week. The hostel is brand new, the dorm/bathrooms are modern and clean with western toilets. Ramazan offers amazing meals in house that are cheaper and tastier than your likely to find anywhere else in town and he personally called around and organised tours/activities we wanted for half the price we could get. "I was there in december and experienced 2 very different days. I was greeted by a very nice and gentle girl, the hostel was friendly and spotlessly clean and I felt instantly at home. the girl was deported in the evening by the police and the owner of the house took over -- with the result of the hostel being very dirty the next day and the guy only sitting watching TV, smoking, and drinking. no one cared for the hostel that day and in a dusty town like goreme ... well, you imagine. for the cold -- yes, it was cold. you know that when you...  more »

"The hostel is beautiful and the staff very friendly - The hostel is very nice, the rooms are clean but some beds are not comfortable. The terrace where they give you the breakfast is peaceful and nice, I loved it, and you can play backgammon while you are drinking a Turkish tea. They organize some activities and tours, I recommend the routes around the valley, the guy who goes to the tours (hunder) is very friendly and the valleys are amazing.
