"The Stigsbergsliden HI Youth Hostel is located west of the centre of Gothenburg, and is a short tram ride or a long walk (especially with lots of luggage) from the main bus and train station. Take tram number 3, 9 or 11 to "Stigbergstorget". A number of the ferry terminals to and from Copenhagen and other destinations in Europe are fairly close. There doesn't appear to be a lot happening in the area, however there are supermarkets and other small shops nearby. "Modern and chill atmosphere - Im often in gothenburg for work and have tried i think all of the hostels with a "central location" there. Well have to say that this is by FAR the most central located hostel in gothenburg. You are in 2min walking distance to Liseberg and if you take the RIGHT way your in the heart of the city centre in 10 min. I have made a lot of contacts all around the world during my stay there. Over all a fresh, living and comfortable place that i definitely recommend to people going to gothenburg and need a cheap place...  more »
