The staff are friendly and because all of them have lots of travel experience they are able to give you many good advice along the way. Me and my friend stayed there for five nights, and beside the one night we got for free, we got a free ride to Howich (because they were going there anyway), and a free ride to Durban. A couple of days later in Durban we got a phone call from one of the staff who offered us a ride to... Umphiti Backpackers  "Wonderful, friendly place -- not to be missed - Just wanted to add a note saying how much I appreciated staying at Umphili. The hosts couldn't be more casual, friendly and welcoming -- and the guests were fantastic as well. Somebody commented to me that he felt like he lived here as soon as he walked in the door, and that's how I felt as well.
