The hostel is situated in a quiet area of Sibiu only 6 minutes walk from the train & bus station and just another 9 minutes walk to the ancient center, with all the main tourist attractions!

The Location
It's a short walk from the train/bus station to this hostel in the old town. No transport needed -- really it's a fifteen-minute walk there, just head up the main street from the stations toward the clock town/church towers.

The dorms are..."Chess Hostel is situated in the central area of Sibiu, only at a 5 minutes walk from the Piata Mare (Big Square, the main square in Sibiu) and at a 10 minutes walk from the train and the bus station.The hostel has its location in a historical area of Sibiu, surrounded by old Saxon houses. It is a quiet residential area, and the hostel has a green relaxing garden in front where you can enjoy... Owned and run by a Romanian/Irish couple, it promises a friendly welcome. The old house has been renovated with great attention to detail, with a mix of vintage Romanian furniture and crafts alongside modern facilities.
The intimate cobblestone courtyard is a quiet oasis of calm in the heart of the old town, where customers and friends can hang out in the shade and sip a beer or glass of wine.... The country background, rooms full of light, double beds and the kindness of staff represent only some aspects intended to make your stay in Sibiu one of the most beautiful experiences.
We provide bunk beds (very comfortable), clean sheets, bath-shower (hot water non-stop), TV, refrigerator, a kitchen, Internet access and friendly staff.
At 'La Padre' you can come with your beloved... We can accommodate up to 24 people in 4 bedded rooms and 8 bedded rooms. You also can find here 3 modern equipped bathrooms, a kitchen, a common room and a interesting yard where you can meet people all over the world.

The German House is an extremely relaxing environment for every one. It's hit or miss on the beds in the dorm room; some are comfortable while others are all springs. The downside of the dorm...(Paltinis) located 36 km from sibiu, paltinis is the highest entertainment location in romania … Bus: departure from sibiu railway (3 buses/day, 7.00 am, 11.00 am, 14.pm)
