The Wall is centrally located in Rotorua and has three floors of rooms. The rooms are simple and clean with mixed dorms. The toilets are clean but could be closer to some of the dorms. It's just two blocks away from the tourist information centre and restaurants, but far away from the noise. Internet is 2NZ$ per half an hour, lockers have to be paid with 1NZ$ per closing it (just like in train stations, when the coin falls when you open the locker), you do not have constantly warm water (goes from ice cold to extremely hot), no soap in the bathroom. I expected to have better accommodation in New Zealand as in South..."The Lakehouse Hotel is a ten-minute walk from the bus stop, but most bus drivers will let you off almost outside it if you ask them nicely. From the outside, it looks a little rundown and it's hard to see the hostel sign from the street, so keep a good eye out.
