The hostel atmosphere is great, and its location is perfect, with good pubs and restaurants nearby, and it's nestled in some of the best walking areas I have seen.
I was there for scuba diving, as it's close to Scuba Dive West (an excellent dive set up!) This is one of the best hostels my... Possibly the best views from your bedroom of the sea and mountain in Ireland!K2 is also the accommodation for Killary Adventure Co. so there is a choice of 20 water and land based activities including winsurfing, sailing, waterskiing and cliimbing. The... "Having visited hostels all over Ireland I must say that this hostel is a gem. In the last couple of years the hostel has been almost completely renovated and now has outside covered decking overlooking the courtyard -- warmed by an outside fire that serves to keep the midges at bay and has the advantage of allowing you smoke in comfort (a rare experience in Ireland now).
