Castletownbere Auberge de Jeunesses  "To get to Harbour Lodge, follow the signs off Main Street, around a big old stone church, and into the reception area of the former convent, now converted into a hostel. It is only a minute's walk away from the town center, but is far enough away to provide a quiet night's rest.

A modest but clear sign directs the way down a side road. After some distance and a few twists and turns, the visitor comes across the small community that is Dzogchen Beara Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Center and Garranes Hostel. This cliffside retreat, nestled in among evergreens and other flora, has some spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the open ocean.
