The Location
It´s well located, and although the neighborhood doesn´t look very nice, the hostel is clean. You have to remove your footwear everytime you come from outside, so that´s a way to keep floor clean.
Rooms and Bathrooms
It has three rooms that are big enough to sleep and have your stuff around. One bedroom has five bunk beds and the other two bedrooms... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "A bright and friendly hostel. You have to take a bus to get there from the train station. The bus may not be running late at night, so you may have to take a cab if you arrive late. It's located in a residential area, but it's a short walk from the beach and bars. The hostel is bright and cheery inside. There is a bar and a large common area. It's usually mostly empty during the day, and it can be social in the evenings, but even at night most people are out on the town rather than..."In a very secure and very quiet area of Marseille, this hostel offers charm, very large rooms decorated in Provence style and a friendly atmosphere, next to the new High Technology Center and the University Campus .
You can park your car inside the property for free and breakfast is included.
The sunny rooms overlook the landscape and the swimmingpool. The house has been recently restored and is a rare survival of a 19th century Bastide.

Compared to all the hostels in France, Germany and Italy, it was by far the best. "Le Chef" at that time was a kind gentleman who loved young people. The kitchen was like a giant's castle kitchen. Hot water for showers abounded in wintertime and into the great dorms he piped Shubert's 8th Symphony each morning at 8:30. But you were never rushed. It was the grandest accommodation in all Europe!!!"
