The arrival point is very close to the main square, Parque El Libertador, from where you can easily reach almost any point of the town on foot. But tuk tuks and horses are also favourite options for tourists to move around.
There are few Jardin, Colombia hostels in the center of the town; most of them are actually in the surroundings, while some even are located one or two kilometers away, in small fincas (ranches). They offer nice open areas, in the middle of the mountains, with terraces filled with hammocks, where only natural sounds can be heard. Its main square, which was declared a National Monument by the Colombian Government, is surrounded by cafes and restaurants, many of them offering the typical meal of the region, Bandeja Paisa, and a good idea would be to share the meal, as it is huge.
