Bremen is a German city with a population of a bit over half a million people. It is also a port city and the capital of the state of Bremen. The city is divided into 23 districts. The city, which once belonged to the Hanseatic League, has over 1200 years of history.

Bremen is served by all forms of transport, including planes, buses, trains, and ferries. The cheapest flight option is Ryanair, which operates a comprehensive flight network to and from Bremen. The city is a very good connection point to other areas in Germany and to other European cities such as Amsterdam in the Netherlands (via train). Public transportation of various kinds is well operated in the city, of your options, the main tram is the most useful and cost-efficient way to go.

The Bremen hostel selection is very good. Germany can be considered average value based on normal Mid-European price range, and you should expect to pay about 20€ and upwards for a dorm room. Bremen hostels aren't very concentrated in any particular city area; they tend to be scattered a bit more evenly throughout the city.

The main attraction area and place to see when you visit Bremen hostels is the central city area. There is plenty of old and impressive architecture to be seen, and the central city area is small enough to easily walk around. The Bremen Kunsthalle (Museum of Art) is a great place to get some culture. Soccer or football fans might want to try to catch one of the Werder Bremen games in their home stadium.

The Bremen University (with 23,000 students) helps make this city student friendly and give it a youthful vibe. You'll have a good time visiting Bremen hostels.
