Royaume-Uni Auberges de Jeunesse

Inverness is such a beautiful place. Take a walk at dusk along the canal and admire the beautiful old houses. Do a MacBackers tour through the higlands. Cheap as chips and a fabulous experience.
Isle of Mull was absolutley fantastic. The best experience of my life.
If you're a Wallace fanatic like me and you enjoy history and especially Scotland's independence history, then go Stirling! The city itself doesn't have much to see but I recommend visiting the William Wallace Monument -- a tall tower in a very original style, where you can see a exposition of Wallace's life, his enormous sword, and audiovisuals. You climb the two hundred forty-six steps to the top of the tower and you have a nice view of the city and the fields. They give you a certificate you can show your friends when you go back home! In Stiring you can see the Castle too. When I was there (August 2006) it was being repaired, so I think now is the best moment to see its magnificence.
Durness is an amazing place. I went there this summer and it may the most beautiful place that I have ever been. It is also wonderfully peaceful. I could have sat on those beaches for hours. I didn't want to leave.
Oban is a really cute place. You stay here for a night as part of the wonderful Macbackpackers tours and that's enough time to look around. Go to the old fashioned lollie shop. It's FABULOUS!!!
Isle of Kerrera … We visited from Australia and thought the island was WONDERFUL, the scenery was MAGNIFICENT, and the Ferryman Duncan was ever so helpful. We will be returning.
Édimbourg … If the weather is nice, take time out and rest at the park on Prince Street. Best place to sunbathe.
Easily one of the most breathtaking places on Earth. Friendly people. Kylakin (first town across the bridge from the mainland) is beautiful, but venture out to the edges and coasts of Skye to see jaw-dropping beauty. Wow, wow, wow.
Ive worked in many places, but to live and work at Arran was the most beautiful place I've seen. It was like heaven.
Berneray … It's secluded and beautiful. Come prepared, there's limited shopping in the wee village.
Glasgow … The west end near the university is magnificent.
