Moab is a town that seems to be rebeling against the Mormon state it's stuck in.
What's not to love? Red and Orange Rocks canyons, other-worldly formations, and of course -- for those who pursue it -- the classic "silence of the desert" per Edward Abby. I always love the feeling of dropping into Moab from the north on 191.
Moab is beautiful and an excellant place to base your visits to the surrounding area. The natural beauty in Amazing! Check out rafting the San Juan river 2 hours south of Moab.
Arches National Park was full of wonderful sights. The La Sal Mountains are gorgeous!! I love Moab and will come back there someday.
I was in Moab area September 2004 hiking in Canyonlands and Arches National Park. What a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors, in many ways. Now I'm planning a trip for June 2009 for more hiking, rafting, maybe some biking this time, and who knows what else!
Monroe is a beautiful little town full of friendly people. I would love to visit there again very soon
