Avis de Hostelz.com
Paradiso Hostel is truly outstanding. The hostel is located right across from one of the main train stations, Kelti pu, which also has its own metro station. From the station, go out the front and head right across at the first light. Walk along the street that parallels the station -- in that direction too. (You only need to cross one street.) Walk past KFC then cross the street and keep going in that direction until you find building #10. There will be red and white signs telling you that it’s the hostel. Type “20” into the doorbell. You’ll be buzzed in and then you should take the stairs up to the top (fourth) story. The hostel is on the right. The staff is really helpful -- they speak great English.

Paradiso has a living room equipped with TV, computer with free high-speed internet, and sofas. There is a shower room and a toilet. They’re nothing to write home about but they’re clean and private. There is also a kitchen with more than enough equipment. The dorms are on the street and train station side but its not loud at night. During the day there is a fun view. One complaint is that mattresses aren’t actually mattresses, instead they are blocks of foam which are surprisingly comfortable.

It’s important to keep quiet in this hostel because there are people living on the other floors. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the courtyard but only in silence. The hostel is pretty secure as long as all guests make sure to close the front door properly (which we assure you they won’t). The place is still pretty safe.

All the amenities of any big city are within meters of the Paradiso Hostel. Stores including Office Depot, KFC, Rossman, d&m and many other grocery and other store are close. This hostel is really ideal for travelers coming in to and leaving out of the Kelti Pu Station.

1 Low standard but low price.
You have to be very quiet in the hostel so for young people that want to pre-party in the room I recommend another hostel. The one that runs the hostel sleeps in the lobby, which I think is very odd. He was kind though. To get to one room you have to go trough another room which means that you don't feel safe to leave your belongings left in the room of ten beds. If you want to lock yourself in when you shower, forget it! One door leads straight into the shower from the four bed room. Small hostel means few other travelers to chat with. My friend fell through the top bed but he was lucky not getting hurt. Unusual kind of toilet. There are no signs in the entrance from street so the hostel is very hard to find.

2 Don't! (go to Budapest!)
The hostel was alright overall, we were lucky as we were put in the six-person room when we paid for the big dorm. If you're coming in by train it's a great location, but otherwise it's not very centrally located. It really is just an apartment, which is fine, but there are no markings either on the street or even on the door leading into the apartments telling you that there is even a hostel there -- my oath the hardest hostel to find in Europe so far! The reason we say don't though is because Budapest, on a whole, was pretty lame. the hostel was fine! Go to the baths though, they rocked!

4 This was a great place for travelers looking for some peace and quiet. The location is great -- across the street from Keleti station and a five-minute walk from the metro, with a Spar located right down the block with affordable basics for anyone cooking their own meals in the hostel kitchen. The two staff members I dealt with were very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Budapest.

4 This was a very pleasant experience. Located in an old residential building, it really is an apartment. One room has eight beds, another four beds. We had the four bed to ourselves, with access to bathroom, living room, internet, and kitchen. Was comfortable and reasonably clean, and very affordable. Only two-minute walk to Keleti, big plus.
