Avis de Hostelz.com
Momotown is well located in the Kazimierz district of Krakow, close to bakeries, bars, restaurants, and the Wawel Castle. It is about fifteen minutes' walk to the town square and about twenty minutes' walk from the main train and bus stations from where you can take tram Number 13 most of the way there. The entrance is just off the street front through a courtyard/driveway but the logo is painted on the wall outside and if you look up there is a big sign saying hostel sticking out of the wall next to the entrance.

The interior has a trendy modern decor with the walls in the stairwell covered in what look like clippings from magazines. The other rooms are nicely painted in bright modern colors. There are two common areas -- a small one downstairs next to the reception room with couches, two computers for (free) internet access, and an information board. There is another bigger one upstairs which is sort of the kitchen and dining hall combined with TV area. There are a selection of DVDs and the kitchen is well stocked with everything apart from a conventional baking oven. Breakfast is provided until about noon and includes cereals, nice fresh buns, and spreads. Tea and coffee are available all day. There are also tables and chairs outside in the downstairs courtyard for smoking, drinking, or enjoying the sun.

The hostel is quite busy -- and as such, can be a little noisy at night. This also means that the toilet/bathroom areas may not be completely clean all of the time. There is a person who comes daily though and spends quite a bit of time putting things in order. Other services of interest are twenty-four-hour reception, free washing, and free phone calls -- even international calls to a selection of countries.

The dorm rooms have a reasonable amount of space in them and each bed is assigned a good-sized locker (with key) for safe keeping of belongings. The lockers are big enough to fit a large bag or suitcase. Momotown is a friendly, stylish hostel well suited for meeting and greeting and having a good time.
