Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is a refurbished villa situated just 1 kilometre from the Picton ferry terminal that enjoys picturesque views of the surrounding hills and valleys. A short, five minute stroll from the centre of town, Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is ideally located: 20 metres from the local store, pub, card phone and the best place in town to start hitching south.

When you stay at Sequoia Lodge you can relax and soak up the sun in a hammock under peaceful covered verandahs overlooking the gardens, or enjoy a game of chess on our giant outdoor chess set.

Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is the perfect base from which to explore the world famous Marlborough Sounds or walk the Queen Charlotte Track. Or maybe you'll want to kick back for awhile and escape the rat race.

Meet "Foley" our over-friendly German shepherd dog. Probably the most photographed dog on the South Island, Foley loves cuddles and he is always keen to be in your photos.
