Avis de Hostelz.com
This place is beautiful. If you've admired photos of sleek boutique hotels in design magazines but never thought you could afford to stay in one, you'll be extremely pleasantly surprised. The furniture and art are cool and modern while the duvets and pillows are fluffy and warm. A very comfortable place to be, and it offers both dorm and private rooms.

There is free internet access in the lobby, however, there is no bar or cafe. The hostel advertises that breakfast is available across the street, but unless you really can't bear to walk another block, the place they are referring to is best avoided. It's a Mexican restaurant unaffiliated with Miss Sophie's, so there are no special deals. It also has with suspicious pricing practices -- menus posted outside have different prices than the menu you receive inside -- and very disappointing food.

Miss Sophie's is easy to reach and quite convenient for exploring Prague's New Town area. It's on a small street called Melounouva, which is on your left as you are walking down Jecna street away from the IP Pavlova metro station. From the main train station, walk left down Wilsonova onto Mezibranzka, pass Anglicka, and make a right on Jecna (then look for the left onto Melounouva).

The beds. Oh the beds! You won't find a better stay for so cheap anywhere! The desk assistant manager, Vlady, is Peter Lorrie's long lost son, I swear. gave us hours of entertainment. Service is great, everything was so nice.

This is an amazing hostel -- trendy, friendly, the beds are so comfy, and those showers -- wow. Easily the best hostel I stayed in during two months in Europe. The staff are very friendly and it's an ok location. The Mexican opposite also does great happy hour offers and huge plates of cheap and very tasty food. Definitely recommended.

This place is really nice. Hotel facilities for hostel prices. Free internet, kitchen, lounge area and generally helpful staff. I stayed for one night in 3 comfortable 3 bed dorm and met some nice people. I would stay here again!

I stayed here with three friends and we were delighted with everything about the hostel. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms beautiful and the whole place was generally nicer than some hotels I've stayed in. A special mention has to go to the staff who went out of their way to be friendly and helpful -- what more can you ask for? And all for a reasonable price in an excellent location -- highly recommended.

I stayed with two friends in a three-bedroom apartment opposite the hostel last September, which was excellent! The apartment (a loft conversion!) was well furnished, and the kitchen even had a dishwasher and washing machine! The apartment was clean and quiet, and in a safe area. The staff were always helpful with our inquiries, and the free map which they give at the counter upon checking in is invaluable for finding your way around Prague. The hostel is within walking distance of the main attractions.

I actually arrived here on accident, but was glad I did. It's the only hostel I'd found that I'd describe as upscale. You can only imagine my shock when I walked in and found the employee at reception wearing a suit! The beds are soooo comfortable and have really soft sheets. The shower is amazing, although there aren't enough of them when compared to the beds. Free internet is never a bad thing either! There isn't a common room either, so if you want to meet people it could be a problem. However, if you want a nice place to come back to after a long day, this is it!

This place is brilliant! The dorms were cozy and extremely clean. The bathrooms and toilets were immaculate. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English. It was easy to find and very close to the Metro station IP Pavlova (less than a two-minute walk). I found this place very hard to fault — the only thing that was lacking was a kitchen area, but hey everything else made up it. It was almost like staying in a top class hotel just with a shared bathroom. I can highly recommend it. Also it's very close (walking distance) to funky bars, clubs, restaurants and fast food places.

It was wonderful. The rooms were neat and very clean, and they provided plush pillows. The common room became my home. It was so pleasant. The staff were friendly, and the Internet was nice to have. The bathrooms were great, and the lighting was controlled by motion censors, so you never had to worry about it. The rooms were very secure as well. A kitchen would have been nice, but there is also a grocery store just a block away to get food, and other restaurants at the subway station, also a block away.

Excellent. I visited Miss Sophie's just for two days, and I'll go back!!! That's a fact. There were so many nice details in the hostel. I just liked the style, the price for a beautiful, fresh dorm bed (no be bugs at all!) and of course, the whenever-you-come, smile-on-their-face staff! I shouldn't forget the free Internet. There is just a little thing that is missing: no kitchen. In total, please go to Sophie's. It's close to IP Pavlova, and all the important trams.

I love the showers and the free Internet. This place has the best staff but it could do with a kitchen. It is one of the best places in the town.

A typical hostel with a distinct lack of common bathroom facilities, resulting in long waits even during low season. The staff are English-speaking but math-challenged. Upon arrival, we were charged for only one person's stay, despite our protests. Several days later, we were asked to pay the rest to compensate for the receptionist's math error. In addition, the native English speaking receptionist was not very professional in her business dealings in general. You can do much better closer to the Old Town, in the REAL center of the action.
