Note: This hostel is not in compliance with any fire regulations and is operating illegally. The owner and architect of this hostel has created illegal hostels before which have been closed down. One of these actually burned down and there is reason to believe staying in this hostel may be dangerous due to electrical wiring faults and other issues. It may be closed down soon if it hasn't been already.

Response from the owner:
with reference to the information posted on your website re the celtic inn, please note the building is and always has been registered as a hostel for the last forty years, we are fully compliant with both building and fire regulations and have regular fire inspections from dublin fire brigade and have on every inspection been given written approval from chief fire officer mr gerry stanley ,we are definitley not closing down and have no orders to do so .in relation to the other illegal hostel you mentioned, it was not operating as a hostel but as bedsits and a fire which broke out was a result of a careless tenant and not as an electrical fault no one was injured or killed. please note ,the recent expose on r.t.e. primetime programme had many discrepencies and untrue information about our hostel and we are pursuing this matter through the courts.— Avis exclusif de Hostelz.com
