Awesome!
I stayed here in the summer when the weather was amazing and so was the vibe and all the activities, beautiful biking and awesome tubing! A must do. I stayed in a very funky cool bus, a bit rustic with the proper washroom in the house, but I had the option of using an port-a-potty that was just outside. it was such an outdoor Canadian BC experience. I loved chilling on the beach hanging in the hammock and going for the occasional swim. Anita and Paul were super cool and their darling daughter totally charming! Anita's cooking was the best food I had in a long long time and well worth the money -- especially since you never go away hungry, there's always seconds if you want it. her salads were especially delish! I highly recommend this place if you are into the great outdoors and the whole BC vibe thing.

Isolated, dirty, like living at home with your parents!
I stayed at the Iguana Ranch in 2007. I thought I was staying in the Cabin, instead I was put into an old bus which the owner has attempted to turn into a sleeping bus! No shower -- you have to walk through dirt and spider webs to shower, barely any lights in the bus! It was dirty and very uncomfortable! Two other people turned up while I was there and left early the next morning (they were meant to stay for three days!). Also Paul and Anita fight between themselves a lot so that can be pretty awkward. They have a cute two-year-old daughter but she throws so many tantrums and it feels like you're in a child care centre! If you want to go into town, it's a ten-minute drive but if you don't have a car there is an infrequent bus service but the owners couldn't tell me when it comes. They will offer to drive you for a massive fee ($30 or $40). Don't stay here! It's boring, dirty, and uncomfortable!

Anita and Paul, who are the owners of the hostel, are extremely kind and caring people. They provide the best hospitality that I have ever seen and I felt like I was staying with family during my time at the hostel. The location is perfect for a nature getaway and there is a huge variety of activities that is provided at and near the hostel. They could arrange activities for you, the place is very clean, Anita makes great meals (not to mention, very healthy as well!), and the hostel has such a great vibe to it -- really relaxing and chilled out. Staying at Iguana Ranch was one of the best time I have ever received and I would love to go there again. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a memorable vacation!

I stayed there and it was wonderful. My favorite part was the tubing, which you have to try, Anita {the owner} is really nice and a great cook. I'm 11 and all ages will enjoy it. Go there!

Being a mature age (32) I was a little unsure about staying at a hostel! I was presently suprised. The hosts made me feel very much at home. The ranch was clean and my bed was actually comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and tasted good. I also enjoyed their homemade trailmix at a modest price. I am looking forword to going back towords the summer to try tubing down the river which they tell me is very poular and a lot of fun! For thoses that enjoy nature, outdoor adventure, great cooking and perhaps a soak in the hot tub this place is not to be overlooked!

A fun place to visit. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Anita is an excellent cook, make sure you put in a reservation for supper. Low carb? No problem. I recommend it.
