HI - Halls Gap - Grampians YHA Eco-Hostel

This stylish and comfortable hostel incorporates architecturally designed features that protect and compliment the environment of the Grampians, while providing guests with a truly unique travel experience.

Situated in Halls Gap, within the Grampians National Park, the Grampians YHA Eco Hostel is the ideal base for a range of outdoor activities including bushwalking, rock climbing, abseiling and golf. Alternatively, you can hope to spot some native wildlife in the hostel's landscaped native gardens or relax by the cosy wood heater in the communal lounge.

The hostel utilises solar hot water, along with state-of-the-art energy and water conservation techniques to reduce consumption to approximately 50% of the standard hostel. The Grampians YHA Eco Hostel's innovative passive solar design and cosy wood heaters ensure that the hostel remains at a comfortable year-round temperature, without excessive energy use.

The Grampians YHA Eco Hostel has a fully equipped kitchen with specialty items including bread makers and rice cookers, plus the seasonal availability of organically grown herbs, vegetables and fruit. Free range eggs are also offered to guests from the resident chickens when available.

The Grampians YHA Eco Hostel welcomes individuals, couples, families and groups of all ages with plenty of private rooms and no more than four beds in a dorm.
