Great Chain Hostel
I had an excellent experience at this hostel. Even in the off-season, the atmosphere was great (as it is at every St. Christopher's) and was extremely clean. Reception staff was super helpful and incredibly nice. Location wise it is alright but the walk through Paris is honestly worth it to get anywhere if you aren't using the ultra-efficient Metro. Only big downside with this hostel was the lack of a kitchen (in order to keep money flowing to the restaurant) but other than that, outstanding. Met some great people here and would 100% stay again.

Fantastic place.
An extrodinary hostel in Paris, very close to Metro so relatively easy to find (recommend either arriving during the day, or have your map handy). Breakfast was a handy way to save €'s and while no hot foods were provided, it was filling and I enjoyed it every morning during my 3 night stay. Bar was great with lots of friendly people, though most in their 20s. There was some oldies like me but I talked mostly with the youngsters since they tended to sit nearby. Room (dorm for six) was very clean, nice and large, with big windows to enjoy the view, two cramped but usable washrooms/toilets (again, very clean), handy services in the bunks, large rollout cages for belongings underneath, privacy curtain, and card lock door. This is a newer building so most of this is not surprising. Now, the few not so good things -- For a newer building, how could they put in so few electical outlets in the bar and lounge? There were only 3 in the bar, only one I could find in the lounge. And the bench seats in the bar, wow, designed for people over 6 feet tall. Very dangerous for older people ... saw one 70 something year old woman struggling to sit. The services in the bunks are too close together for comfortable use. The toilets could use better venting.

Good hostel
This is a good hostel. The beds are comfortable and don't squeak! Good spread for breakfast and very close to the metro line.

Amazing, best hostel I've ever been to.
Everything about this place is fantastic, Except the first floor showers- one is too hot and the other too cold. But the bar is amazing, location is perfect. The explanation of how to find it could be more detailed -- for example Gar du Nord, Gar du L'est and Gar Magenta are all joined together underground and the hotel is on the surface between all three (so get off at any of them). The staff helped me when all my money was stolen, especially Gregory who was the supervisor. The beds are brilliant -- each has a light, two USB ports and a wall plug for personal use, and a curtain that provides privacy and darkness. Breakfast is also fantastic! I would recommend to anyone!
