Adelaide Travellers Inn Backpackers Hostel

Adelaide Travellers Inn Backpackers Hostel is a nice and friendly hostel. You can enjoy your stay in Adelaide with the free bike rental service and free Wi-Fi internet (the hostel is right on the Wi-Fi spot of the city of Adelaide). The atmosphere here is the right mixture of quiet and fun.

The Location

Right outside the door there are two bus stops and the free city loop bus stops there, if you don't want to walk twenty minutes to the centre. The traffic is not heavy although the road is one of the main ones. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and shops just outside of the door and a laundry around the corner. There are also some pubs as well. From the station or the airport the best way to get here is to catch the shuttle bus, which is probably the cheapest in Australia, and it will drop you in front of the door.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The rooms are not special but comfortable, mattresses are nice, and there are no in-room lockers. There's not so much room inside but enough to move. Bathrooms and toilets are just fair, especially in the evening they became dirty after the showers of many people. Many rooms have access to the veranda, from where you can get the free Wi-Fi signal.

Common Spaces

Kitchen is just a bit too small and not so clean. There's free breakfast but it's just cornflakes and tea bags. The luggage storage is free of charge, there's a TV room but it's probably too small to host many people -- maybe five or six -- and free cable TV. There are a couple of computers but as mentioned if you have a laptop you can surf using the network of city of Adelaide, which is free. People are nice in general and during the evenings many of them meet on the veranda to sing some songs or just to talk. Sometimes they drink a bit and become loud but it's not a problem every evening, it's really rare.

Summary

This place is not in the city centre but it's social and surrounded anyway. If you consider that you have free bus out of the door and free Wi-Fi (which is not everywhere in Adelaide), the price is really cheap. And the people are friendly and helpful so if you want to both relax and have a bit of fun, it's the right place for you.
