Creepy
well , the place is small. You can't open the windows (they are locked with a chain -- creepy). There is a lot of noise coming from the street. The owner is really ok. The beds are not so great. The bathrooms -- a different story here, there are no toilet seats (really bad!), the water is barely running (you need to flush two or three times to get a result). The showers are pretty bad but working (at least in one bathroom). Well now you know the bad parts. With all the bad sides it is an ok place if you are staying for a few days. It is close to termini metro station (approximately ten minutes by foot), the neighbourhood is ok. There is a great coffee shop very near (coffee and croissant cost less then 2 euro and it is very good). Bottom line it is alright if you don't have the expectations for a four star hotel. the front door key is working only if you have a lot of patience and the elevator is a bluff -- you can't use it!

Most horrible place ever
simply horrible. It's dirty, crowded, too hot. the guys there are creepy, the showers don't work properly (almost impossible to get hot water), the toilets are disgusting. It's cheap and also terrible -- a guy (who turned up to be neither a guest nor one of the owners, but just a friend of theirs) rolled a joint in front of us, after having listened to loud music for one hour while we were trying to rest. Unless you don't hate yourself so much, please don't stay at such a sickening place.

This is the worst sh*tty place I have ever slept in my whole life. It is on the first floor of one of the biggest and most polluted streets of Rome -- the noise was so terrible we could hardly fall asleep, even we had been around Rome the whole day. The beds were stinky, the blankets unwashed, and the bathroom in such a condition that it would have been better to go out in the park. Everything was slimy and smelly -- I hope a didn't catch a disease there. Avoid this place, don't even go near this area.

Get as far as way as possible from Enjoy Hostel. The entire neighborhood around the train station is sketchy with loads of graffiti and garbage in the streets. When we arrived at Enjoy hostel, exhausted from travel and from getting lost, we were told that despite our reservations, beds could not be guaranteed for two nights of our stay because we were slightly later than our stated arrival time. (The owner practices overbooking.) However, beds were available for that night and the next. We were asked to pay in cash and never given a proper receipt. That was the first warning sign. We left our luggage and went looking for a hostel to stay for the remaining two nights. Not an easy task during Holy Week in Rome. While we were gone, someone opened up our luggage, rummaged through it, opened my camera case, and stole my digital camera. I would not be surprised if the owner had some hand in it. Because of this fear, I did not ever report the theft to the owner. Needless to say, the next night I slept with my money and passport in my money belt on me. The beds were not made, and the sheets were certainly not washed regularly. The bathrooms were dirty and had pipes exposed in the ceiling. Despite stated rules about not smoking, people still did anyway, causing the rooms to smell of smoke. Run far, far away from Enjoy Hostel while you still can.

most disgusting place i've ever slept. the beds are dirty and smelly, filthy shower/toilet, rooms are really small, the linen was also disgusting, and if you open the window, you cannot sleep from the big noise. Don't go there, it's cheap but it ruins your holiday.

Enjoy Hostel was the worst place that I have ever paid to sleep at in my lifetime. I feel that I would have been safer if I had been sleeping on a park bench in the middle of Rome outside at 3 a.m., and I am not being dramatic. First of all, "Enjoy Hostel" is not even written outside of the building but instead in what appears to be red lipstick, or marker the word hostel is vertically written on the side of the building. On an index card the size of a McDonald's napkin is the official name inside the building. This alone should be a sign to not enter. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. For your safety and sanity it is not worth saving any money. If you need further proof, upon entering the sketchy apartment that is Enjoy Hostel, the key would not function. Horrifyingly a man in tiny black underwear opened the door for us, and tried to force us to pay him although he admitted that he did not own the hostel nor work there. Later while trying to sleep, there was a drug deal of some sort, and people passing pills off to each other. My friends and I slept holding on to all of our belongings and were woken up twice by people entering the room shining lights in my face. This place should get shut down soon, because it cannot possibly meet safety requirements or health regulations. I was afraid the whole time, and I hope that you really do not waste any money on this disgusting, frightening, and creepy hostel. It was a nightmare!

horrible, horrible, horrible. The main guy was so mean to us and thought that we did not know english just because we looked Asian. He made it seem like we were stupid and I had to snap back at him. But after he found out we were fluent in english, he was a little nicer. The bathrooms were gross. There's no common area, and everything was so cramped. It was super loud and no main tourist spot near by.

This hostel was horrible. We actually left a day early so we wouldn't have to share a bed! When we got their the guy at the desk (which is the top of a refrigerator) was a jerk and accused us of making fun of his english. It is in a terrible neighborhood that must have an extremely high crime rate. We actually saw a woman being chased by a guy with a beer bottle. The last night we were their they had overbooked by about seven people and there were twenty people staying in what was supposed to be a twelve-bed room. Their were people sleeping on the floor and in the same bed. There is no common area, just a picnic table in the middle of the room. On toilet and one shower in the same room for forty people. Don't stay here. Stay anywhere else!!

I adore Rome and I liked the hostel. Normally I stay at friends'. This time I preferred to be more independent and chose to stay in this hostel. It was great. I got to know nice, interesting people. The hostel — though it was quite congested — was clean. For me it was just alright. I could go out as long as I wanted to, as it has no curfew. It is supposed to be noisy, but for me it was just alright. I loved the place and the people there.

I stayed here for two nights. Never going back. Old, dirty and grungy describes this place nicely. Dirty kitchen, smelly rooms, and ruined bathrooms.

This hostel is the friendliest place we have ever stayed in. It is a small one, ideal for small groups of people and the price is a really good one. We had a lot of fun, there was respect between the roommates and no bad episode has occurred. It is also very clean and safe. It feels like home!!! So, we recommend this hostel to you, hoping that you will have as much fun as we did.

This hostel was good, and I stayed here for two days. There is nothing wrong with the hostel except that it is a bit congested. But if the roommates are okay (which was my case) it is quite a nice experience. The point is to stay cheap and sleep well. I think it serves its purpose quite well. So far as the tioletsa are concerned, indeed one of the toilets does not have a seat, but it is clean and quite usable. So this place is recommended for those on a budget.

This hostel has a balcony and a kitchen where you can easily meet any other people from anywhere. Also, I think this hostel's quality changes according to the people who are staying there (also according to your luck :)). In our first day, the atmosphere was great, people were so good. But the second day, some drug dealer or something started to stay there and he sold drugs to another girl just in front of us. It was very annoying staying with extra energetic and extra stupid people. But overall it was fun to stay here. I recommend it if you are a cheapie traveller also. Whatever, give it a try.

If you like rolling hash joints, or putting up with the poorest of hostels-goers, try this one. Want an excuse to stay out longer and see Rome? Enjoy Hostel was mine.

Although the above comments aren't completely out of left field, Enjoy Hostel has its own character that was fun to experience. We met a lot of cool people there, including the owner, and it was a fine place to stay when you're exploring the city by day. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and the owner was very punctual about cleaning the rooms as well. The worst part was the traffic outside which made it difficult to sleep. Ear plugs did help though. Admittedly, the directions weren't too helpful but a map would serve you well if you pick one up from the train station. All in all, I had a fun and memorable experience there.
