This place is pretty decent. They have a kitchen, free internet (if you can find it free!), the bathrooms were pretty clean and the rooms too. It was a comfortable stay, in a nice area close to lots of cafes. The room was a little dull and dark, but it's good -- pretty much everything you need.

I was at this hostel in February 2004. It's a laid-back kind of place in a vibrant neighborhood. Some of the dorms are pretty dirty, particularly if there are people in them who've been there for several weeks, and have kind of "spread out." But there are lockers and the free Internet is handy (though the staff and various hangers on do tend to hog it). The atmosphere is great, there is a sense of community, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The kitchen is fairly small, but ok and there was free filter coffee always. Anyway, there are lots of good places to get a cheap meal nearby. Showers are hot and pretty clean. The area feels secure, even very late at night. I would stay here again when next in Berlin.

Don't be fooled by the pictures. This hostel is dirty, and the common room is tiny and gets over taken by long-timers. This is the first hostel where I have felt horrified at the thought of sleeping here, under their urine-stained sheets, or eating in the disgusting kitchen. Go here if you are used to mess.

By far the best youth hostel in Berlin. I spent two weeks there and would have stayed longer! The staff are great and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The actual area is probably the nicest in town with plenty of restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. The people in the area are arty and creative which provides a great ambience.

A decent place to stay, with helpful staff and clean rooms. It seems to be a bit disorganised concerning room allocations, though! Expect to have to change rooms at least once, if not twice. Other than that, I had no problems.

A small and laidback hostel. There is a small kitchen next to the little common area with some tables and chairs. Internet access is free (when you can get time on the one internet computer). The staff are friendly and it has the feel of a small family hostel.

Very well-run hostel! But at the same time, it's very laid-back and you're free to do what you like. The beds are okay, and the bathroom is a tad small, but overall, this is the best hostel I have ever been to. The staff are very friendly, and they will try to help you. They have very good kitchen facilities. The location is great, although the area has lots of graffiti. It's very friendly, safe, and cheap. I made lots of friends here, too!

It's a roof and a bed. The kitchen often is nowhere near your room and, let's face it, more than half a dozen people in the common room is a crowd! It's good for what it is, somewhere to sleep!

This hostel is amazing. I stayed six nights and had a fabulous time. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and cute, and the neighborhood's great! It's nice to have free Internet, too. A nice chill place with a great vibe.

GREAT HOSTEL!!! The staff here were very friendly. The room was huge. We had plenty of room. Clean beds and linen, a sink in the room, and there is free internet in the common room. It is not located directly in the city. It is a 5 minute walk from the metro which will get you to the city in no time at all. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including an excellent Mexican place two doors down. There is a laundry facility just down the street as well.
