Sevilla Inn Backpackers hostel is a phenomenal pick up. When we went it was relatively new, and from talking to the staff it sounded like they had some really exciting improvements planned. All around it's a good place to stay -- very clean, welcoming, and affordable.
The Location
The location is great -- just a stone's throw from the spectacular cathedral, this hostel is situated central to many of the must-see sights in Sevilla. It's easy enough to find, just keep your eye out for an eye-level sign just off to the left side as you walk down Calle Mateos Gago away from the cathedral.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm rooms are basic but clean -- they do the trick. There are eight beds (bunks) per dorm and an individual lock up for each bed. There are also private rooms available for a steeper price. The bathrooms are like bathrooms you would find in a house -- just you in there with space to toss your clothes, and a warm and comfortable shower.
Common Spaces
The highlight of the common space would have to be the rooftop patio. It has picnic tables, a view of the Giralda monument, and a high level of lounge potential. It's a great place to eat your meals and sip your beers. Apart from that, there is a TV room with beanbag chairs, a table with normal chairs, games, and cool artwork. The kitchen is functional and cozy, but you wouldn't want to be stuck in there making dinner when twelve other hungry people are trying to do the same thing. There are five computers with free internet access in the lobby, which is always a good thing. This hostel has a fun environment that evokes friendliness among other hostelers, and the terrace is an ideal place to act on your sociable instinct.
Summary
We got a really good feeling from this hostel. The staff seem genuinely concerned about our impressions of it and are keen to make long lasting improvements. It was great when we stayed there and we are quite sure that it is only going to get better. Sevilla Inn Backpackers Hostel is highly recommended.
