We're a cosy and relaxed hostel located in the middle of Europe's first surf reserve. The beaches are beautiful and the landscapes are amazing with cliffs, green hills and valleys. The old town of Ericeira is an idyllic traditional fisherman village that has everything.
We're located 40km north of Lisbon, 30min drive from the airport, in the Northern part of the old town, only 50 meters from the beach, next to the São Sebastião shopping center. From here you can walk to surf, supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Everything is less than 5 minutes away.
Our rooms are clean and bright, all with ocean view. We have rooms with one, two and four beds.
Bathrooms, kitchen, balcony and living room are for everybody to use and hang out. We also have free wireless internet and a big free parking lot.
If you feel like giving surf a try we have boards, suits and boots for rent and very friendly local surfer buddies ready to show you a good time. We can also show you around the local historic beauties like the convent in Mafra, Óbidos Castle or Sintra.

• By Bus
• From Lisbon (nearly 45 Km) – take Ericeira bus at Campo Grande Terminal
• From Torres Vedras (nearly 35 Km) – take Ericeira bus at Terminal Rodoviário
• From Sintra (nearly 35 Km) – take Ericeira bus at Portela de Sintra Terminal
• After you get out of the bus station turn to your right and walk around 100 meters. As soon as you see S. Sebastião chapel in front of the ocean you are there!! Easy!! Blue Buddha Lone Surfer Hostel is the building saying HOSTEL. Welcome!!
• By Car
• Coming from A8, from either Lisbon or Leiria, exit to A21 direction Malveira / Mafra / Ericeira.
• At the roundabout just after Ericeira toll, take the 4th exit towards center in the sea direction. Entering Ericeira turn right to S. Sebastião / Ribeira D´Ilhas /Parque de Campismo. Blue Buddha Lone Surfer Hostel is at your left after the light signs at São Sebastião into the roundabout second exit you are there!! Easy!! Blue Buddha Lone Surfer Hostel is the building saying HOSTEL. Just park the car in the public car parking right in front of the Hostel. Welcome!!
