• How to get here from Taipei city or Taoyuan Airport ?
• (1) Take Taiwan High Speed Railway to Tainan city.
• And then, transfer to the local railway, called Shalun line, at THSR Tainan Station. Get off at Tainan Train Station.
• Or, you can take the free shuttle bus (THSR Tainan Station-Tainan City Government) at THSR Tainan Station and get off at Koxinga Shrine stop in Tainan city.
• *THSR ticket fare: Taipei--Tainan TWD$1350/ Taoyuan--Tainan TWD$1190
• Local railway ticket fare: Shalun--Tainan TWD$15
• *The ride is about 2 hours.
• (2) Take Bus to Tainan city.
• (Please note, it may be cheaper, but it takes longer on transportation.)
• You can find the bus to Tainan city easily at Taipei Terminal or Taoyuan Airport.
• Get off the bus at the last stop, you will see a park across Gongyuan Rd.
• Turn right on Gongyuan Rd. and then turn left on Gongyuan S. Rd.
• Walk straight along the park, you will see Beimen Rd. at the end.
• Turn right on Beimen Rd. and you will see Tainan Train Station.
• *Bus fare: Taipei--Tainan TWD$800~400/ Taoyuan--Tainan TWD$500~300
• (The fare varies depending on different bus corporations)
• **The ride is about 4 hours.
• How to get to Socorro Hostel from Tainan Train Station?
• (1) By Taxi
• Tell the taxi driver our address in Chinese.
• *The ride is about 5 minutes.
• **Taxi fare is around TWD$80.
• (2)By Walking
• Take the front exit of Tainan Train Station and turn left on Beimen Rd.
• Keep walking straight on Beimen Rd. till the end and you will see a big circle.
• Turn right on the circle and turn into Fuqian Rd.
• We are in the Lane 85 on Fugian Rd, a three-story building with the white wooden door and black window frame.
• Please feel free to contact us via phone on you arrival in Tainan city. There are coin-operated telephones inside the train station or outside the convenience stores. We are willing to pick you up at the train station if necessary.
• *The walk is about 15 minutes.
