The lovely suites are part of the complex of Villa Paladino Solunto,a property of exceptional charm and prestige for the peculiarity of its site, by the unique characteristics in the area between Palermo and Cefalù, just at the gates of Palermo. Villa Paladino Solunto, consisting by a main building well marked by the imposing tower embellishing it, and two secondary bodies in which you find the 5 romantic, bright, cozy and full-equipped suites (3 three rooms for 4 people and 2 two rooms for 2 people),smartly stands on a lush hill, emerging on the ridge of the wonderful promontory of Monte Catalfano, close to the Natural Reserve and to the Archeological park of Solunto, the famous Phoenician and Greek - Roman city.
The view of the sea embraces from Palermo to Cefalù until the high chain of Nebrodi and that over mountains reaches from Mount Pellegrino (Palermo) to the inner mountains of Sicily, the magnificent tops of Madonie (alt. m 2000), looking at the hills, the rocky promontories and the green valleys of Bagheria and Santa Flavia too. On these panoramic luxuriant hills of Bagheria you can admire a lot of beautiful eighteenth - century villas built by the best Sicilian nobility.
The main Villa, planned by arch. Armò, was erected in the beginning of the last century by Domenico Paladino, famous Florio's cousin and nephew of the builder of the Royal Hunting Palace of King Ferdinando IV Borbone at Ficuzza's wood (Palermo). It is the meeting's centre of the International Institute for Advanced Studies of Space Representation Sciences, which is intended at the activities which are performed.
Villa Paladino Solunto, adjacent to the Archaeological Park of Solunto and the Natural Reserve of Monte Catalfano, close to the fishing villages of Santa Flavia, Porticello and S.Elia, is a fascinating and enchanting site, between history and nature, a very peaceful place dominating the gulfs of Palermo and Cefalu, where adults and children can enjoy and spend unforgettable holidays. It is a perfect place for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break thanks to the gorgeous setting with an incredible pool similar to a natural lake in the middle of a large Mediterranean garden rich in different species of birds (among them the superb Peregrine Falcon, so loved by Frederick II of Swabia, which nests on the Soluntine rocks) and countless species of plants, thanks to the great views down to Santa Flavia and the Gulfs of Palermo and Cefalù, thanks also the spectacular sunsets on the sea you can admire sitting on the benches and the deck chairs around the pool or under the shadow of a big olive tree, close to a palm tree, while eating a sweet fig or a prickly pear just picked.
You can look at the Gulf of Palermo and Monte Pellegrino too ("The most beautiful promontory of the world", said Goethe, the well known German poet who came in Sicily in 19th century) from the windows of your bedrooms.
The closest sand beach is only met 800 far from the Villa.
It is a great place, a space between history and myth, art and nature, where you can to spend vacation out of the crowded touristic tracks: it turns out to be a good starting point with easy access to motorway and manageable driving time to majority of attractions.
200 meters away you may visit the touristic village of Santa Flavia and the fishing villages of Porticello and S.Elia, where you can taste delicious Sicilian dishes. Approximately 1 Km. after S.Elia, driving along the quite panoramic coastal road, that flows around the Natural Reserve of Monte Catalfano, you’ll get the promontory of Mongerbino and the seafaring village of Aspra and with its breath-taking views on the Gulf of Palermo and Monte Pellegrino. At the same distance you can admire the beautiful eighteenth - century villas built, on the panoramic luxuriant hills of Bagheria. by the best Sicilian nobility. It is a strategic point to easily go sightseeing Palermo (Km.10, 30 minutes by car and 20 by train), the well known beach resort of Mondello and the town of Monreale, with the most beautiful and important Cathedral in the world, the famous medieval town of Cefalù, with its fantastic beach and the Arab-Norman Cathedral, the enchanting Castle of Caccamo, the well-known remains of Agrigento, the Museum of Mozia, the nice and little town of Erice, the Natural Reserve of Zingaro, the National Natural Madonie Park and many other places of great tourist interest..
Boat trips with skipper in the clear waters around the Scoglio della Formica (the Rock of the Ant), home of dolphins, up to the Aeolian Islands and fishing can be arranged in summer.
It's possible to go in less than an hour from the sea to the mountain, taking part in sightseeing, excursions in the great Madonie National Park (alt m. 2000) a paradise of rare plant and protected animal species.
If you haven't a car,you can easily go sightseeing Palermo, Cefalù, and many other places thanks to the nearest train Station of Santa Flavia or the Bus Station of Bagheria: pullmans and trains leave each hour and are very cheap and convenient means of transport.

• Do you arrive at the airport of Palermo / Catania / Trapani? Take the A 19 (Palermo - Messina) until the exit Casteldaccia. Then, follow the signals to go to the National Road 113, you'll read Santa Flavia and Solunto too. After 5 minutes about, you'll see the train station of Santa Flavia on your left. Pass the cross (don't enter in Santa Flavia, follow the National Road) and 100 metres after you'll see a yellow signal Villa Paladino Solunto on your right.
