Descripción

Happy Valley Hale ("hah-lay" means "house") is THE ONLY place to stay for a budget priced accommodation without the bunk bed atmosphere.

Unlike many other hostel rentals in the area, WE HAVE ONLY FOUR (4) BEDROOMS for rent, with a total of 10 twin beds. You can rent one of these deluxe rooms privately or one of the single beds. Either way, you will be in surroundings that are like home.

Along with your freshly cleaned bath & bed linens, your ceramic tiled room also has a fan, and a service refrigerator. There is a shared kitchen, 2 (shared) bathrooms, coin-op washer & dryer, & a living room with cable television. At night, you can also choose to star gaze in the front garden of fruit & flower plants.

So "hele mai" (pronounced "hey lay my" meaning "come") & stay with us in our clean, comfortable, and happy surroundings. Our hostel is worth your hard earned dollar.

, JAPANESE ()
1   Sketchy part of town The hostel is cheap and clean, but is in a VERY sketchy neighborhood. After I booked 4 nights (non refundable) I found out from the locals that this area isn't safe. They told me not to go anywhere at night and to stay in my room. All of them said that. The lady who owns it is a little grouchy. I'm never coming back here, EVER. I'm scared to death to be stuck here. Spend the extra money and get a nice hotel where you won't be afraid to leave your room past dark.  , USA ()
5  When I first arrived at the hostel, I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by a beautiful woman that ran the hostel. She helped me get situated and was very friendly. I got the keys to my room and relaxed for a little bit. (Afterwards, I found out that not all of the hostels you can actually relax at.) This is the only hostel on Maui, that I know of, that is actually spic-and-span clean and very quiet. Although, I had one roommate most of the time, there was plenty of room. This hostel also offered a nice size kitchen and a couple of bathrooms, a guy's and a girl's. Also, it had a TV and to my surprise free wireless Internet if you have the 802.11g card in your laptop. I was so happy that I am coming back for another two months and staying in December. You can't beat the rates, especially since it is hard to find a hotel room anywhere on the island for less than $100. So, you basically can stay four days for the price of one. It definitely allowed me to use my money in more fun ways, since you don't come to Maui just to lay in the room. Any questions feel free to ask, a great experience. Plus, just in the short time I was there, I met people from Montana, California, Poland, Switzerland, and Denmark. Good times, good times! Aloha brah!  ()
