It is a pleasant low budget hotel,with spacious rooms with bathrooms,ventilator,mosquito screening,a kitchen and bbq area to share,a bycicle for guests to use free,a little motor to rent,a large garden,plenty of place to hang your hammock.
Fata Morgana is a fine budget hotel/hostel offering some of the best rooms rates available in the popular resort town of Las Terrenas in the Samana Peninsula. The hotel lies midway between the tourist beaches of Las Terrenas and the more peaceful Playa Bonita. Las Terrenas itself is a vibrant, lively town renowned for its colourful character, beautiful beaches and nightlife, whilst Playa Bonita offers a more tranquil, picturesque taste of the Caribbean. Playa Bonita is considered by many to be one of the best beaches the Dominican Republic has to offer and is presently largely undeveloped so you can always find a decent stretch of it to call your own whilst you are here.
Our hotel resides away from the busy streets in a large garden in the grounds of my home. We have 6 large rooms at present on the property. All our rooms are simple but spacious and tastefully decorated. They all comprise of a large sleeping area with 1 double and 1 single bed, an en-suite bathroom, fan and, most importantly, screened windows to save you from the mosquitos whilst you sleep! Each room also has its own veranda with rocking chairs and hammock to while away the balmy nights in comfort.
We have a communal kitchen, BBQ and pleasant dining area for our guests to use at anytime. We also have a book exchange with literature in many different languages and copious information on local tourism and the Dominican Republic in general. You can hire one of our scooters for $10 per day .

• Fata Morgana lies between the village and the beach Playa Bonita.
• Coming fron Sanchez you pass the gasoline station,after take the first paved road to the left,this is the road to Playa Bonita.After the first street to the right,called calle Luperon,at the corner you see Banca Santana.After about 50 meters this road makes a curve to the right.Go straight into the little road make a left and carry on,pass villa Elisabeth,pass villa Quesquiya, till the very last house.
• Coming from El Limon or Samana you take the mainroad,Duarte,up the village till you see the road to Playa Bonita on the righthand side.
