• Arriving from Maracaibo, Venezuela:
• Terrestial terminal recommended option is shared taxi 'carro por puesto' to town of El Mojan. Its quicker and safer as it goes directly to El Mojan without stopping. The bus stops along the route and there is danger that passengers boarding may be robbed.
• Arriving from Maicao, Colombia: (TBC)
• From terminal take shared taxi 'carro por puesto' to El Mojan. You will need to stop at border crossing. The taxi will leave you at El Mojan terminal.
• From El Mojan:
• At a short walking distance from terminal is the public wharf. Take the speed boat to Isla de Zapara (minimum 3 people/spots for boat to take you there). Boat should take you to wooden wharf in Zapara. From there there are signs posted with directions to hostel. Or ask any local to Elena or Walter's casa will send you in right direction. Its a 5 minute walk from the wharf.
