"MacBackpackers hostel equals excellent time. A small hostel run by very friendly people. It does seem to centre around the under-thirty crowd, but older people are welcome to stay there. It's a laid back hostel with a good attitude. The hostel was clean, the rooms were nice (single sex dorms) and small enough that you don't feel impersonal (six-bed dorms). "Very nice hostel - I stayed at this hostel for two days in September of 2009 [28th/29th]. It was clean/comfortable. And the staff were very nice. The breakfast was not free, but was reasonably priced and quite nice. It was about three miles outside of Fort William, but that was great as far as i was concerned. It was a nice walk there [there is a bus to it as well]. And it was away from the main town so it was peaceful and quiet. "Well designed, well equipped, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable - New, purpose-built hostel ten minutes by foot from town centre in private grounds. Good car parking. Large entrance hallway where you can remove and leave wet footwear and parkas. It is designed as a house, with kitchen, living room downstairs, and three bedrooms and shower-room upstairs. "The Bank Street Lodge is a fairly clean and inexpensive way to explore the Highlands of Scotland. It is located in an ideal location. I was impressed by the comfort of the beds and TV room. The communal bathrooms were a little on the dirty side. Make sure you bring your provided towel back to your room when finished with a shower or you will have to pay for a new one. "Excellent. - Clean and very welcoming. Can't believe people whine. it's £12.50 a night for gods sake, there are plenty of rooms around Fort William for 100 quid a night if you want perfect. "Excellent - The roy bridge hotel is great -- the food, the staff, and the people who own it. they spend day and night to give you the best that they can. "This is an incredibly unique hostel in a beautiful location. It's located right next to the train station, so it's super easy to find too. Be sure to book ahead and let them know what train you are arriving on to make sure someone is there to check you in. The hostel is very small and there aren't other accommodations nearby, so reservations are essential! There is no staff that stay at the hostel, but they are close by if needed.
