"We spent three days at The Black Sheep Backpackers in Abergevenny and can highly recommend this hostel. "Capel-y-Ffin Youth hostel is on a converted farm in Black Mountain's Llanthony Valley, in the north-east of Brecon Beacons National Park. It is the highest youth hostel in England and Wales and it really is in the middle of nowhere. To get there you really need to drive, unless you are walking the long-distance Offa's Dyke footpath, or cycling on of the many routes in the area.
