"This hostel was fantastic! Staff were brilliant and were more than happy to give detailed advice about local activities, etc., and have very good knowledge of hiking routes throughout Snowdonia. The dorm was fine - very clean and big enough. The bar, kitchen and common room facilities are very good and you can even hire films/games for a small charge. Overall the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. The hostel is also ideally placed for Snowdonia, and within walking distance of pubs and shops. The beach is only about 10 minutes...  more »

"Good hostel, nice base for climbing Snowdon - I stayed here with 3 friends for 1 night only as a base for climbing Snowdon. The location couldn't be better for starting the climb early the 'Snowdon ranger' path literally starts in the back garden and the small village (with a nice pub) is only a short walk away. The rooms are basic but clean, same can be said for the bathrooms, rooms are very spacious but there is a lack of decor. "Very Nice Place to Stay. - I stayed here with a big group of scouts and adults. We were right at Mt. Snowden, so we just had to hike up. The service was great, the rooms were very clean, and the food was wonderful. The staff was very hospitable. "So chilled im going back - i first visited with a mate in April 2010 who had been before and it was everything i expected, you know how it goes, you get what you pay for. and believe it or not i totally enjoyed my stay there -- it was relaxed, and friendly, and out host Tim was a really great and genuine guy. If you do get a chance to visit you will see for yourself but as with anywhere it has its good points which you wont see if you dont stay.
