Villa Morazzana was built around 1765 and beginning from 1894 it was inhabited from the famous singing artists Gemma Bellincioni and Roberto Stagno, first interpretes, in 1890, of Mascagni's opera "Cavalleria Rusticana".
In the villa their daughter Bianca was born and she became a famous lyric singer too; she was baptized in the contiguos chapel, where she returned in order to celebrate her marriage with editor Ricordi's son.

Price is great but I needed a tank to reach the place and would not have found it had the owner not met me in town. I had a heck of a time finding my way back the second night after dinner and a glass of wine in town. it is dark and remote (about two kilometers up a rutted, dirt road). The price is right but you have to pay in advance for all the nights you book whether you stay or not. There is no breakfast, just a kitchen...
