The northern area of the municipality, right in the Cantábrica Mountain Range, is the most interesting to practice mountain climbing. Due to the lack of marked paths, the changeable weather and the dangerous and complex relief, the hard ascent to La Churra, Peña Lusa and the mythical ascent to Castro Valnera summit are reserved only to experienced climbers.
