"Great vibe and layout - Tranquilo is one of the best hostels anywhere, with a great location, terrific layout, and very good facilities. It is not luxurious but easily lives up to the backpacking standard. The sewage problem is something the whole town deals with, sadly. Tranquilo is a great place to meet people because of the way it's laid out with communal tables, the large kitchen, dozens of hammocks, and free pool and ping-pong.
