"We stayed for one month in Dec. 2003. It was the perfect place to start our Oz adventure; I was made feel very welcome. It had a very friendly atmosphere. "In late July 2008, the Backpackers Barn was the only hostel in the centre of Warrnambool. There is another hostel on the west side of town, by the beach, but it's a few kilometres from the city-centre and the train station. The Location Backpackers Barn really doesn't look like your typical hostel.
