"This was probably the best hostel I've stayed at in Australia so far. The staff was friendly and very helpful, it was extremely clean, and the common areas were spacious and well-equipped. The other guests were all very friendly as well and it was easy to make friends. "This was the first hostel I ever stayed at, and remains one of my favorites. The owners run the place, and are friendly and thoughtful. I give it top marks for atmosphere - this hostel is set in a restored historic house and is chock-full of character. The amenities aren't as modern or spotless as the big-city YHA hostels, and the kitchen/dining area is a little cramped.
