"This would have to be without a doubt the best hostel i have ever been in. Management were always keen to help me as i did not speak much english when i started traveling. "Raglans Backpackers is a cute little hostel in the centre of Adelaide. It´s a beautiful old building with a nice balcony which spreads an enjoyable and homelike atmosphere. "Adelaide Travellers Inn was an excellent hostel because hostel staff smiled at me with a cheerful welcome when I got to the station. (There was pick up and drop off service.) I had cheesecake, rice, breakfast and drinks in the hostel. These were free. Also, I stayed in a clean room and used a quiet shower room .The kitchen was under renovation but I cooked my meals with the new friends I met in the hostel. "I was originally going to merely pass through Adelaide after hearing from Bondi backpackers that it was a waste of time. What I came across though was the best hostel I've ever stayed in during my travels in Australia. "Kiwi Lodge? Never again! - On saturday we were given the keys to a hostel that looked like a methadone clinic. On entering our room we were greeted by complete filth. It wasn't cleaned, the fridge was leaking, and it made us feel physically sick. The receptionist was very apologetic and offered us a refund but then the owners walked in and in no uncertain terms said "too bad. No refund." I have never met such a horrible man in my life.
