"The Coolangatta Backpackers Youth Hostel is located right next to the Coolangatta airport and near the region's main highway. This makes it pretty accessible whether you're flying or catching a bus there from another airport. It can get a bit noisy at night, but nothing intolerable. The hostel offers free shuttle buses into town and to the surf -- they go in about four times per day.
