"Quiet, friendly hostel in beautiful location - I stopped at the hostel in Detmold for one night during a cycle trip in May 2010. The hostel is about 2km out of the city centre, and up a steep hill, but worth it for the beautiful, peaceful location. For a city dweller like me, it was a pleasure to be surrounded by fields and woods, and to hear the birds singing in the morning and evening.
