I love Newquay -- my brother lives there so go down when I can. It's so lovely, the people are nice, even better nightlife, and it's cheap. I would recommend it.
I've been coming to Cornwall simce I can remeber and Newquay is the best part of it! You've got the nightlife, the beaches, the sea, and it's really cheap!
Newquay is a brilliant weekend away and good fun can be had. The hostels here are not up to scratch, however! They are poorly run and the standards are very low. If you do hostel it, do your research.
Zennor Village is small but friendly and came over very quiet -- even in the height of summer. The pub is nice and the sea (at Zennor Head) is only ten minutes away with some fantastic views. The village has a small museum and also easy bus links to Penzance and St. Ives. It's worth stopping over.
