This is not so nice as other Polish cities but Varsovia's full of life and it has a hyperactive cultural scene. I love its bars and clubs, all of them unique and brimming with personality. The city also has an excellent public transportation network. Go and enjoy Warsaw's nightlife and don't forget to eat lunch in one of its "bar mleczny" (milk bars)!
Cracovia … You cannot miss going to Krakow. Really amazing city, many things to see and visit. I loved just wandering along the streets. Although if you go in December you may get frozen (believe me). Nightlife is good yeah, but don't go to the typicsl clubs foreigners go, you'd miss the best... Let local people recommend you where to go. Oh, a funny thing, pubs are always hidden at the end of corridors and things like that... pretty curious. Krakow it's defintely worth a visit!
Cracovia … This is a beautiful, small, and easy city -- the best one in Poland! You can easily discover the whole city by walk just in one day. Its cobbled narrow streets are full of life; you can find shops, fast food restaurants, hostels, bars, and clubs every other minute, but in spite of this Krakow hasn't lost its essence nor its charm. You can't miss a visit to Kazmierz, the old Jewish district -- it's a must!
Cracovia … It's a great place -- very picturesque, good opportunities for day trips to other nearby places and cheap restaurants, accommodation, bars and clubs. Get the Krakow "in your pocket" guide (available at Empik department store on main square). It's updated every two months and is crammed with details on the best bars, clubs, restaurants, day trips, and sightseeing with detailed maps.
Varsovia is Poland's capital... an amazingly friendly blend of Soviet and European with easily the best food anywhere on the continent (Italy can keep its pasta and pesto etc, it doesn't compare to a good portion of periogi). Getting around is easy as well. If you're a student or have an ISIC card the metro, trams and buses cost about 8p (UK)!
Cracovia … I did visit Krakow in December and I was freezing. However, even so it was a very nice experience. Covered by snow, Krakow looks very beautiful and classy. Wawel Castle was free when I visited there (maybe because it was near Christmas?). The best experience in December is the Christmas Market at Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square). The stands (that are in the shape of wine barrels) sell quite nice mulled wine.
