The rich cultural and Christian heritage in County Armagh is witnessed by the 3rd name often given to this county – the Cathedral City.

Visitors to County Armagh will not lack for places to visit and things to do. There are shows at the Market Place Theatre, a planetarium, an observatory and astropark, the Navan Centre and Fort which is thought to be an ancient pagan ceremonial site, the Argory, Dan Winter’s and Milford Houses, the Royal Irish Fusiliers and the Irish History Museums, a palace or two, the Argory, and the Slieve Gullion, an extinct volcano. Another interesting place to visit is the Armagh Gaol which served as the primary women’s prison in Northern Ireland until 1986. Kids will enjoy following the Angels and Gargoyles trail and trying to find the 22 bronze sculptures depicting animal creatures that are located all about the town of Armagh.
