This lovely little hamlet, tucked away in the Pennsylvania mountains, is actually two cities united through the achievements of a great sportsman. As well as the historic town, there is the Jim Thorpe monument and Hickory Park with Boulder Field nearby. It's a really great place, to which I long to return. It's a perfect place to just linger -- sit back for a while, and take time to smell the roses.
Jim Thorpe … A great little town for a weekend getaway -- a bunch of outdoor adventures are very nearby to town, and the pretty downtown has a lot to offer in itself! Go during week for a lot less crowds.
Filadelfia … I second the Art Museum! It's fantastic. And the Mutter Museum is great.
Filadelfia … Go to the Art Museum!
Filadelfia … Its a nice place to visit and Penn University is a place to see. You can a see a whole world is there. People from different countries, races and religions staying over there and all are students having a great time. If you are 22-28 you will go back to your college days and enjoy the place.
